Hello and a warm welcome to all Parents, Carers and

Friends of Tithe Barn School.

Run on a voluntary basis by parents, carers and staff; FOTB (as we are usually known) is a registered charity, with the aim of enhancing school life and learning for the school and pupils.

​

Whether you have been associated with the school for many years, or are a brand-new family joining our wonderful community, you will very quickly appreciate how active and inclusive our PTA is.

​

Every parent or carer of children attending our school is a member of the PTA, therefore we warmly welcome you but how involved you are, is completely up to you.  It would be great to hear your ideas, and we always enjoy seeing some new faces at our meetings to discuss upcoming events. Without your support, we would not be able to achieve what we do.

FOTB plays a key role in sustaining a strong sense of community within and around the school, whilst raising much needed funds for additional equipment and resources … and there’s always lots of fun to be had and memories to be made!

The equipment and resources we help to fund makes learning even more engaging. In its time we have raised tens of thousands of pounds, which has helped provide equipment and resources (not provided from statutory funding) to enhance our children’s education experience and the school’s facilities. Money raised has been used on a variety of projects including providing a new stage for the school hall, classroom blinds as well as new schemed reading books.  We are currently in the process of upgrading our school playground.

We are much more than simply fundraising though! From Summer and Christmas fairs, to discos, special events, fun runs, gala balls, cake sales and cinema nights, FOTB organise a whole host of fun activities for parents, children and families to enjoy throughout the year. We want to create lasting memories for our children, who are only at school for a relatively short time and the FOTB events will be remembered fondly by our children for a lifetime.
