How You Can Support FOTB

Match Funding

We wanted to take this opportunity to remind you about the match funding scheme and how a little bit of your time could raise double the funds for the PTA.

We understand that the high street banks, building societies, supermarkets and large corporations are likely to do match funding, but these schemes are not exclusive to the major corporate giants. If you work for an independent company, they may be interested in charitable giving through match funding too so please ask your employer if they can help.

If you work for an organisation that has a match funding policy, any money you raise could be matched by your employer.   We would be grateful if you could see if your employer has a match funding scheme, or if they are willing to match fund any of our events. If you can’t help out this time, but you know the company you work for has a match funding policy, please let us know. This could be a really large source of income for the PTA and help us raise money for FOTB.

If you are able to help us this way, please let our Treasurer Kevin know and we can discuss your companies’ requirements. Email kevin@friendsoftithebarn.co.uk and Kevin will be in touch.

Stikins Labels

The Stikins school fundraising scheme has distributed thousands of pounds amongst participating schools every year since 2004. While the details of our fundraising scheme have been fine-tuned over the years, its core principles have remained constant. We want to give schools and PTAs the opportunity to raise money while helping parents to safely and securely label their children’s belongings. In return, we want to grow our brand (Stikins ®) and supply name labels to as many parents as possible.

To support the efforts of our fundraising partners we pay out the highest name label commission rate in the UK (30%). During the summer term, we also offer 5 free personalised name labels for each new child starting at the school each year and supply leaflets and posters free of charge. We aim to offer truly simple fundraising ideas to help schools and PTAs achieve more from their fundraising projects without taking up precious resources.
